Darcy moved to Lake Placid from Long Island in 2003 where she lived and worked in the mobile computing technology industry for 8 years including one year abroad in Tokyo, Japan. Darcy is founder of Agency Accelerate providing business management, operations and marketing consulting services. She also is a licensed real estate salesperson with Merrill L. Thomas, Inc. Previous to this she worked locally at Adworkshop for approximately 10 years in various management and executive positions. She received a B.S. in Marketing from Canisius College and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University. Darcy is also involved with the New York Ski Educational Foundation (NYSEF), Lake Placid Ski Club and Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association (LPYAA). Darcy believes in a balance of academics, sports, music and the arts at a young age to foster individuals and nurture a passion for self-exploration. She does not think it is ever too late to further explore the artistic side of one’s self and for many this may be untapped. Darcy feels building creativity and a passion for the arts in a technology driven world is important. “I have three children growing up in our intimate community and I look forward to building upon what exists today, ensuring that the LPCA maintains its mission and achieves it vision long term, building awareness and long-term success,” says Darcy.
