Cheryl Braunstein

A native Californian, Cheryl Braunstein moved to Saranac Lake in late 2018 when she became Director of Interpretation at the Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake. She and her family relocated from Washington, DC, where she worked at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. Previously, she was at The Field Museum in Chicago, the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Cheryl, her husband Dave, and their son have long been performing arts enthusiasts, enjoying theater, dance, and music; they are truly grateful for the diverse programs and delightful offerings that LPCA brings to the community. In addition to attending LPCA events, the family enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing, paddling, and hiking, and they are working on their 46ers. Cheryl earned her Bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a Master’s in Environmental Management from Duke University.
