Liquid Light: 2-Part Watercolor Workshop

Online Class with Sarah Yeoman

2-Part Class: Wednesdays, June 16 & June 23, 5-7pm Eastern

Join us for this watercolor workshop as we explore Sarah's painting of glass titled "Liquid Light." Paint along if you like or sit back and just watch. The video will be available for 2 weeks.

A drawing is included - please download it to prepare for class!

Materials

  • What's on Sarah's palette: Jaune Brilliant #1, Cad yellow, Cad orange, Cad Red, Perm Rose, Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Brown Madder, Yellow Ochre, Lavender, Cerulean, Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Turquoise Light, Ultramarine Blue, Viridian, Paynes Gray, Neutral Tint (This is Sarah's standard palette for all workshops. You do not have to use the same colors.)
  • Brushes - Sarah will be using large rounds to #16, #14,#12
  • Paper - Sarah will be using Arches 140lb COLD press for this painting and will be working on a 14x20 format. Please paint whatever size you like.
  • Firm backing board, Masking tape, Water container, Sponge, Hair Dryer, Paper Towels, Spray Bottle, Masking Fluid

Lake Placid Center for the Arts

The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is a year-round performing and visual Arts Facility.  Located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York, the LPCA consistently presents arts of the highest caliber in music, dance and theatre performances, film exhibitions and visual arts presentations. 

In addition, the Arts Center provides special arts-in education programs, workshops and residencies for aspiring and renowned artists.

The Arts Center is the home of the Lake Placid School of Ballet, LPCA Children's Theatre, Community Theatre Players, as well as the Summer home of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
