Dogwood Watercolor Workshop

Online Class with Sarah Yeoman

Wednesday, April 7, 5:00-7:00pm EST Advanced Beginners and Up

Join us for this floral watercolor workshop as we explore working wet in wet, paint application and texture for "Dogwood." Paint along if you like or sit back and just watch. The video will be available for 2 weeks for you to replay and practice. Please have the painting sketched out in advance.

Recommended Supplies:

  • What's on Sarah's palette (This is her standard palette for all workshops. You do not have to use the same colors.): Jaune Brilliant #1, Cad yellow, Cad orange, Cad Red, Perm Rose, Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Brown Madder, Yellow Ochre, Lavender, Cerulean Cobalt, Blue Cobalt, Turquoise Light, Ultramarine, Blue Viridian, Paynes Gray, Neutral Tint
  • Brushes - Sarah will be using a 1 1/2 inch flat and a 1 inch flat as well as a small round. Sarah will be using Masking Fluid for this painting.
  • Paper - Sarah will be using Arches 140lb Cold press for this painting and will be working on a 14x20 format. Please paint whatever size you like.
  • Firm backing board, Masking tape, Water container, Sponge, Hair Dryer, Paper Towels, Cheap brush for applying masking

Lake Placid Center for the Arts

The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is a year-round performing and visual Arts Facility.  Located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York, the LPCA consistently presents arts of the highest caliber in music, dance and theatre performances, film exhibitions and visual arts presentations. 

In addition, the Arts Center provides special arts-in education programs, workshops and residencies for aspiring and renowned artists.

The Arts Center is the home of the Lake Placid School of Ballet, LPCA Children's Theatre, Community Theatre Players, as well as the Summer home of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
