LPCA Presents an Enchanting Undersea Adventure for All Ages

Lake Placid, NY: The Lake Placid Center for the Arts (LPCA) and The Last Great Hunt are proud to present two showings of The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, April 3 and 4 at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available by calling the LPCA Box Office at 518.523.2512 or online at www.lakeplacidarts.org.

The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer is a tiny tale set in the deepest dark blue sea, of a solitary explorer with a heart as big as a whale. In a highly imaginative fusion of animation, puppetry, projections, live and recorded music, master storyteller Tim Watts tells the tale of Alvin Sputnik, deep sea explorer, and the search for his lost love in the seemingly endless depths of the ocean.

Using a constantly creative, beguiling and quirky blend of live action, puppetry, animation, music and film, Australian genius Tim Watts tells his story of love, loss and quiet heroism with engaging energy and an enchanting magic. Young and old – both adults and children – will delight in this wonderfully romantic hour of pure entertainment.

This production was originally supported by The Blue Room and Perth Theatre Company. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
