About Gary Ferrar
Gary presented his first trick for kindergarten show-and-tell – and still uses that trick to this day! Since then, he has performed magic for Nickelodeon, The Broadway Comedy Club, TADA Theatre and for America's Got Talent and is currently the resident magician for Brooklyn Public Library, Broadhollow Theater, and the New York Kids Club among others. Don's miss this one-night-only event – you never know what trick he has up his sleeve!
Gary Ferrar is the kind of magician who is as comfortable headlining for multi-billion dollar companies (Burberry, Ralph Lauren, and Morgan Stanley) as he is performing for casual backyard barbecues. He has trained with Jef Johnson (of Cirque du Soleil) and is a recipient of the Philip Rosenthal Grant for Comic Excellence. As a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Gary has served as a magic consultant for national television commercials and New York theater companies. In addition to performing, Gary also provides private lessons on magic theory, teaches on about.com, and the director of summer magic programs at SUNY Old Westbury, SUNY Purchase, and the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. His love for theater is expressed not only through his magic, but also by serving as the Artistic Director of Hyper Aware Theater.
