Set to Tchaikovsky's fabulous and familiar score and combined with Artistic Director Phyllis Papa’s stunning choreography, Sleeping Beauty is a timeless classic you can enjoy with the entire family. With special appearances by fairy tale favorites like Puss-In-Boots and Little Red Riding Hood and of course, that kiss from the handsome prince, Atlantic City Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty will create a memory to cherish happily ever after. This beautiful ballet comes alive amidst a lavish set complete with magical effects and courtly splendor, while upholding the grand tradition of ballet featuring more than 30 distinguished dancers.

The Atlantic City Ballet is at the forefront of dance and is widely considered the premier ballet company in its area. Founded in 1982 by International Ballerina Phyllis Papa, The Atlantic City Ballet serves as a prime artistic resource to the people of South Jersey. AC Ballet offers access to fully-staged performances by a highly skilled company of professional dancers and educational programs designed to fit the needs of a diverse student population. Their community outreach initiatives encourage appreciation of and participation in the art form. The Atlantic City Ballet honors the diversity of world cultures through the engagement of a multicultural company of professional dancers .

At various times in its history, the AC Ballet has been the resident dance company at Atlantic Cape Community College and Richard Stockton College in New Jersey, and the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Pennsylvania. The Company is comprised of a culturally diverse corps of versatile dancers from around the world. These exceptional dancers have earned national acclaim for their technical expertise and clarity, exuberant stage presence, and the required force, delicacy and energy necessary to interpret various musical scores and ultimately deliver performances of exceptional quality. They hail from four continents-North America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.

Lake Placid Center for the Arts

The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is a year-round performing and visual Arts Facility.  Located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York, the LPCA consistently presents arts of the highest caliber in music, dance and theatre performances, film exhibitions and visual arts presentations. 

In addition, the Arts Center provides special arts-in education programs, workshops and residencies for aspiring and renowned artists.

The Arts Center is the home of the Lake Placid School of Ballet, LPCA Children's Theatre, Community Theatre Players, as well as the Summer home of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
