About the Instructor
Ben Eberle is a studio potter living, working, and teaching in Conway, Massachusetts. He received a BA from Skidmore College in 2003, and an MFA in ceramics from SJSU in 2008. After a year-long apprenticeship with globally renowned ceramicist Toshika Takaezu, Eberle taught ceramics at Concord Academy from 2008-2014. In 2022, Eberle built a woodfired kiln at his friend’s studio where he invites a few groups a year to come learn the process of soda firing. He also travels the region teaching short format workshops and has never met a kiln he didn’t want to fire. Eberle specializes in small batches of medium and large-scale wheel thrown work with dramatic proportions and his signature woodblock impressed alteration.
