Open Sky FAQ

Location & Parking

Open Sky is on the Lawn @ LPCA (Lake Placid Center for the Arts), 17 Algonquin Rd, Lake Placid, NY 12946. You'll be directed to festival parking when you arrive.

Weather Policy

In the case of an extreme weather forecast that would prohibit a performance from going forward outdoors, ticketholders will be notified by email of any adjustments to the location or schedule.

COVID Safety

All Open Sky events are open to all and proof of vaccine and/or negative COVID-19 test are not required. Masks are optional at all Open Sky events - we invite you to do what makes you feel most comfortable.

Seating

The Lawn @ LPCA is a wide grassy field and we recommend bringing along your own folding chairs, blankets, etc. to make yourself comfortable. Re-entry will be permitted for ticketholders who may need to exit the festival grounds for a smoke break or a trip back to their car, etc.

Food & Drink

Green Goddess is here! Check out their menu here for some delicious treats right at the festival. The LPCA is also right next door to several restaurants that offer eat-in and take out dining. Feel free to bring a picnic from home or from one of our neighboring restaurants, but please, no outside alcohol.

Smoking

Smoking is permitted within designated areas on the LPCA campus.

Pets

Please leave pets at home (with the exception of working/service animals).

Ticketing & Refund Policy

Tickets to Open Sky events must be reserved in advance, with the following exceptions:

  • Free family performance The Secret Agency
  • Festival all-access passholders, who do not need to make reservations for individual performances – you may show up to any of the 5 paid concerts, Friday - Sunday, with your all-access pass.

A full refund will be granted for requests made up to 48 hours before a performance, minus the ticketing fee of $1.25 per ticket. For requests made within 48 hours before the performance, credit towards a future performance (equal to the dollar amount of the ticket purchased) will be offered.
