Writing an Art Inspired Fantasy Poem

Online Class with JC Wayne

Wednesday, December 8, 5:00-7:00pm EST

As the dark of night deepens into hibernation, we send our imagination to other places by writing an art-inspired fantasy poem. Our muse art is "Indigo Canopy" by Georgeanne Gaffney. We'll explore using fantasy storytelling as a method to transport ourselves and others through sample poems, quick writing prompts, simple meditative warm-ups to "dial up" our imagination, interpreting the art of Georgeanne's painting for fantastical elements and crafting a poem.

Special bonus: Georgeanne will be in attendance to share the story of the painting and to answer any questions.
