In-Person Glass Bead Jewelry Making Workshop

Tuesday, June 15, 5:30-8:00pm at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts

This fun, in-person class will provide participants with a chance to make several small fused glass items, such as pendants & earrings, within the evening to take home! No experience needed, and your pieces will be ready to take home with you.

COVID Safety Requirements

This class is open to students who are fully vaccinated by the date of the class. By registering you acknowledge you are aware of this, and will be asked to show proof of vaccination at the door.

About the Instructor

Lauren McGovern is a teacher at North Country School, a boarding and day school for students in grades 4-9, in Lake Placid where the arts are revered. She has her own jewelry business, called Beads from the Barn, featuring fused glass and metal clay designs. Her work is found at the Jay (NY) Craft Center and the LPCA's Gallery 46 on Main Street in Lake Placid. Workshop Refund Policy

  • Contact us at least 6 days before the course date, and we will refund the cost of the workshop minus a 15% enrollment fee.
  • Contact us 5 days or less before the course date (within the week of the course), and we will offer class credit for a future workshop.

Lake Placid Center for the Arts

The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is a year-round performing and visual Arts Facility.  Located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York, the LPCA consistently presents arts of the highest caliber in music, dance and theatre performances, film exhibitions and visual arts presentations. 

In addition, the Arts Center provides special arts-in education programs, workshops and residencies for aspiring and renowned artists.

The Arts Center is the home of the Lake Placid School of Ballet, LPCA Children's Theatre, Community Theatre Players, as well as the Summer home of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
