Uncork your inner artist

The Paint & Sip Series at the LPCA presents local artist Amy Guglielmo.

A little paint, a little wine and a whole lot of fun! These classes will be once a month from 6:30 until 8:30 PM. Artists will create paintings inspired by classic paintings. No previous art experience is necessary. This class will provide a light introduction to painting with acrylics mixed with art history, wine and fun. At the end of the art party you will be able to take away your very own masterpiece. An individual class is $40 per person or buy a 5-class card for $160 and all art supplies and wine will be provided. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.


 

 

 August - Marc and Merlot!

  • Franz Marc - The White Cat, 1912
  • Monday, August 21 from 6:30 to 8:30pm

Artists will paint sleeping cats in the style of German artist Franz Marc, best known for his wild and wonderful painting of colorful animals. This class will provide a light introduction to painting with acrylics mixed with art history and fun. At the end of the art party you will be able to take away your very own summer masterpiece.

Artists will create paintings inspired by American artist Georgia O'Keeffe.

Artists will create paintings inspired by Italian artist Amadeo Modigliani.

Artists will create POP ART paintings inspired by American artist Andy Warhol.

Artists will create paintings inspired by American artist Edward Hopper.

Lake Placid Center for the Arts

The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is a year-round performing and visual Arts Facility.  Located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York, the LPCA consistently presents arts of the highest caliber in music, dance and theatre performances, film exhibitions and visual arts presentations. 

In addition, the Arts Center provides special arts-in education programs, workshops and residencies for aspiring and renowned artists.

The Arts Center is the home of the Lake Placid School of Ballet, LPCA Children's Theatre, Community Theatre Players, as well as the Summer home of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
