The Paint & Sip Series at the LPCA presents local artist Amy Guglielmo.

A little paint, a little wine and a whole lot of fun! These classes will be once a month from 6:30 until 8:30 PM. Artists will create paintings inspired by classic paintings. No previous art experience is necessary. This class will provide a light introduction to painting with acrylics mixed with art history, wine and fun. At the end of the art party you will be able to take away your very own masterpiece. An individual class is $40 per person. All art supplies and wine will be provided. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.


 

 June - Monet and Chardonnay! - Register Online

  • Claude Monet – Sunset in Venice, 1908
  • Monday, June 25, 6:30 to 8:30pm

Artists will paint Sunset in Venice, 1908, inspired by the father of the Impressionist movement, French painter, Claude Monet. The class will paint the previous art experience is necessary. This class will provide a light introduction to painting with acrylics mixed with art history and fun. At the end of the art party you will be able to take away your very own masterpiece.

 

July - Van Gogh and Bordeaux! - Register Online

  • Vincent Van Gogh – Fishing Boats on the Beach at Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, 1888

Uncork your inner artist at Van Gogh and Bordeaux. Van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. Relax, paint and let your inner artist bloom. No previous art experience is necessary. This class will provide a light introduction to painting with acrylics mixed with art history and fun. At the end of the art party you will be able to take away your very own seascape masterpiece. And the best part – you get to keep your ear!

 

August - O'Keeffe and Vino! - Register Online

  • Georgia O'Keeffe - Sunflower, New Mexico, 1935
  • Monday, August 13, 6:30 to 8:30pm

Artists will create paintings inspired by American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. Famous for her large-scale flowers, the class will paint O’Keeffe’s Sunflower, New Mexico, 1935. No previous art experience is necessary. This class will provide a light introduction to painting with acrylics mixed with art history and fun. At the end of the art party you will be able to take away your very own masterpiece.

Lake Placid Center for the Arts

The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is a year-round performing and visual Arts Facility.  Located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York, the LPCA consistently presents arts of the highest caliber in music, dance and theatre performances, film exhibitions and visual arts presentations. 

In addition, the Arts Center provides special arts-in education programs, workshops and residencies for aspiring and renowned artists.

The Arts Center is the home of the Lake Placid School of Ballet, LPCA Children's Theatre, Community Theatre Players, as well as the Summer home of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
