Intermediate Improvisational Comedy Course

Explore the art of improv!

This 7-week workshop is for anyone who has taken an improv workshop before (here or somewhere else), or has had any related stage performance experience. Consider taking this course if you or someone you know is interested in moving out of their comfort zone and learning new skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Improv-trained comedians like Amy Poehler, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig have long extolled the benefits of improv training for their creative and performance processes. However, improv classes and training are increasingly being seen as a way to improve both business and personal skills including listening, collaboration, teamwork, confidence, cooperation, creativity and sense-of-fun. In fact, Forbes, CNN and Wharton School of Business have all recently reported on the importance of utilizing improv skills in business and day-to-day personal growth. Furthermore, improv training has been incorporated at companies like Google, Ford, Hilton and Pepsico as well as Universities like Yale, UMASS, Duke and Columbia. Both on and off stage, the skills of improv are quickly being seen as the skills of life.
