Half-Day Creative Collage Workshop

Quiet your mind; feed your soul.

Escape from the political noise (and maybe your weekend errands, too) and spend a few hours destressing with the wonderful medium of collage. Instructor Leslie Rottner will inspire you to find quiet fulfilment (and fun!) in the collage process, making something memorable from images, text, and odds and ends. Participants will create an original paper collage from start to finish.  The cost of the workshop includes materials.

Participants are invited to bring a brown bag lunch, or purchase our Boxed Lunch option for $14 per person (please call for more details).

About the Instructor: Leslie Rottner

Leslie Rottner is a collage artist, photographer, and teacher living in Lake Placid, New York. After many years of focusing on photography Leslie made a shift to collage art and has never looked back. As a self taught artist Leslie finds inspiration for her collage pieces from vintage and found papers and combines them with mark making, paints, and photographs to create a visual story. Her technique is deliberate yet intuitive and she allows plenty of time for exploring how the layers and textures work together to create depth and dimension. Leslie and her husband have 3 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, and 2 grandsons. She and her husband have recently made the move to Lake Placid as full time residents.
