Opera-Go-Round: Little Red Riding Hood

 Wednesday, February 10 at 9:30am or 11am

Tri-Cities Opera returns to the LPCA with their arts outreach program Opera-Go-Round. The classic children’s story is brought to life in the very charming and humorous one-act opera. Little Red and Grandma outsmart the wolf with their quick wit and cunning. Children are playfully reminded of some important lessons: always do your homework, never overeat, always keep your promises, and never ride with a stranger. 45- 50 minutes. Study materials provided.     www.tricitiesopera.com

Pendragon Theatre: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)

Monday, February 22 at 10am
(Rec. 7th to 12th Grade)

The complete works of William Shakespeare, which total 37 plays (17 comedies, 10 histories, and 10 tragedies), are performed by Pendragon Theatre in only 90 minutes. The trio of actors warms up with a rollicking send-up of ROMEO AND JULIET, and then breeze through all 17 comedies at once in order to have more time lampooning the tragedies and historical plays. Witness OTHELLO turned into a rap, TITUS ANDRONICUS as a cooking show, a sock puppet version of HAMLET, and much more. Why? Because life is short and the complete works of William Shakespeare are long.      www.pendragontheatre.org
