Twelfth Night

Shakespeare On The Lawn...
Monday, August 2 • 7pm • Free

Live music keeps the beat for this tuneful,
topsy-turvy tale of mistaken identities and thwarted lovers.

We are transported to a lakeside camp during a festive July 4th celebration.  Martini glasses in hand, the well-heeled guests in tuxes and gowns fall in and out of love to the classic jazz songs of the 1950s.  Into this melodious summer comes the shipwrecked Viola, who, because she knows no one and fears for her own safety, disguises herself as a hip young man about town like Frank or Dean-o.  Unfortunately for her, the deception is so convincing that Olivia, the wealthy hostess of the party, falls head over heels in love with “him.”    When the Rat Pack meets the Bard it’s very funny, very romantic, and very, very cool man.  Way cool.
