Classical and original movie music from The Godfather, Raging Bull, Schindler's List and Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 from Elvira Madigan with Rieko Aizawa, piano.

Three works considered transitional in the Master's development as composer: Symphony No. 4, Prometheus Overture, and a lovely Septet.

Mezzo Soprano Evgeniya Krachmarova-Sotirov, soloist. From Puccini's sumptuous Chrysanthemum to De Falla's magical ballet El Amor Brujo, come and explore imaginary landscapes with no boundaries.

Saturday, August 13 ...to Europe...then Home!
View the Brandenburg Gates (Bach), Rumanian Folk Dancers (Bartok), & weep for a princess's death (Ravel.) This whirlwind trip closes the season as we say good-bye to the evening's soloist and legend David VanHoesen, our virtuoso Bassoonist for over sixty seasons.
