The Lake Placid Farmers' Market is the only "producer-only" farmers' market in the eastern Adirondacks. At "producer-only" markets, the vendors can sell only items that they or their employees produce. Vendors cannot buy in bulk and then proceed to resell to you.
Producer-only markets not only insure integrity for you, the consumer, but also provide an environment that encourages local farmers and artisans to expand and diversify their production. Our farmers all follow organic or sustainable production practices.
All prepared foods are made "from scratch". LP Farmers' Market bakers and cooks utilize locally grown ingredients as much as feasible in their offerings.
Seasonal Offerings Vary: Fresh no-spray vegetables and herbs. Fresh apples and pears. Artisanal organic cheese from grass-fed cows. Free-range chicken and eggs. Grass-fed beef and pork. Fresh-baked breads and pastries. Ready-to-eat soups, snacks, and beverages. Maple syrup. Hand-carved bowls and utensils. Artwork and crafts. Direct from the grower to you.
