July 11 • Comedy & Magic
Tim Dumas

Fun filled, high energy magic and comedy. Watch as the children become the performers, laugh, and are entertained!

 

July 18 • A Walk Through The Orchestra
Lake Placid Sinfonietta

A charming introduction to the instruments, with lots of music to move to. Sponsored by Stewart's Shops.

 

July 25 • Pinocchio
Pendragon Theatre on the LPCA stage!

All the familiar characters are here: Geppetto, the Blue Fairy, a certain cricket, and the wooden puppet who wants to be a real boy.
They all come to life in this retelling of Carlo Collodi's classic tale written by award-winning Ohio playwright, Kathryn Schultz Miller.

 

August 1 • Little Red Riding Hood
Seagle Music Colony

This charming intro to opera retells the classic fairy tale story. The composer is Seymour Barab. Appropriate for ages 5 and up.

 

August 15 • Hercules
Adirondack Shakespeare Company

An original children's play by Jessica Hackett. When a teacher decides he's had enough of two arguing boys, he teams up with the goddess Athena to send them back in time to Ancient Greece! They'll have to settle their differences and fight their way through the twelve legendary labors of Hercules if they ever want to make it back to Rome. A story of adventure, fantasy and friendship.


August 22 • Salute To Arts Day!
Green Market Wednesday
Join the LPCA for the 8th Annual Summer Celebration! Featuring a variety of family friendly artists and activities from 10am to 2pm including clowns, musicians, facepainting, crafts and more!


 

Special Dance Program
Friday, August 3, 10:30am
ONSTAGE Performance
RKB dancers, and 40 students of all levels kick up their heels in a variety of short dances in a public performance. Tickets $10, at the door only; children under 8 years free.
