Artist Residencies

Artist Residencies | Internships

The LPCA offers residency opportunities throughout the year. The purpose of these residencies is to encourage and develop the cultural resources of the community through interaction and collaboration between the resident company and interdisciplinary professional groups and/or individuals in the area.

3-6 week Residency Programs (working studio space and on-site housing):
Our residency programs provide artist groups with a dedicated period of time and a place in which to work. The program may involve conducting classes, workshops, open rehearsals, and community programs, and often in the creation of a new piece and in the presentation of public performances at the culmination of the residency.

Artist-in-Residence Program (dedicated work space):
To support individual artists or artist groups for a substantial period of working time during which the artist can create in an environment conducive to artistic license. In exchange for space, the artist may be involved in conducting classes, workshops, and monitoring studio space.
